Technological Skills of Librarianship

In my opinion, many technological skills are department dependent. At the very least, familiarity in such programs as Excel might be different for someone working in Acquisitions than someone working in Circulation. However, it is clear that there are basic technological skills that are required in the profession. Among these are word processing, electronic database familiarity, email and other online communication tools, search skills, etc.
